What we store, what we delete
santodaime.app is a map, not a database of people. We do the minimum a signed-in site needs, and we throw the rest away on a schedule. This page tells you exactly what that means.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from your Account page. Your profile, sign-in, notifications, messages and claims are erased. You choose whether your reviews, replies and posts are deleted too, or kept without your name. A center you managed alone becomes unclaimed again.
How long we keep things
Personal details attached to finished claims, center submissions, reports, feedback and handled contact messages (names, emails, notes) are erased automatically 90 days after a decision. Email delivery logs are kept 90 days. We do not ask for phone numbers.
Requests from authorities
We store the minimum. The exact address of a center that has not chosen exact visibility is never published, and any data we hold is disclosed only where we are legally compelled to do so.
The only durable personal data we keep is your email
To sign you in we need somewhere to send a magic link. That's your email. Nothing else about you is required — no name, no phone, no address, no photo. You can sign up with a pseudonymous email if you want to stay anonymous. We recommend it in countries where the sacrament is restricted.
Center listings are the map, not you
When someone submits or edits a center, we store the center info (name, country, lineage, optional city or address) and a link back to the account that submitted it. The center info is public — that's the point of the map. Your account is not shown on the center page.
Free-text you type into forms is deleted on a schedule
Anything you type into a claim form, an edit suggestion, a report, or feedback (names, phone numbers, messages, links you paste in) is wiped from our database automatically: • Claim details — 30 days after we approve or reject the claim • Pending claims — auto-rejected and wiped after 90 days • Edit suggestions, reports, feedback — 60 days after they're handled Only the outcome (approved/rejected/resolved) and your email stay, so we can answer you if you ask about a past decision.
No trackers, no analytics, no ads
We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising SDKs, or any third-party tracker. We don't sell data. We don't rent it. There is nothing to sell.
Location privacy
Outside Brazil, center addresses default to country-only on the map. Exact addresses are only ever shown when the center itself opts in, and only after a moderator has reviewed the claim. Never list a private home without the host's consent.
Delete your account any time
Sign in, go to Account, press Delete. Your login is removed and any free-text you submitted is scrubbed. Centers you submitted stay on the map (anonymized) so the community doesn't lose entries — tell us if you want a specific one taken down.
Legal requests
Because we keep so little, there's very little we can hand over. Where the law allows, we push back on requests that are excessive or that endanger a spiritual community's freedom of association.
